About Us
Emerald Nursing School, LLC- 30 Plus Years Serving El Paso
About Us- Humble Beginnings
Emerald Nursing School was founded by Mrs. Nancy Minter in June of 1994 to provide nursing training for the greater El Paso area. As a young RN living in El Paso Mrs. Minter had a dream to help build her community through providing training to people whom could not afford attending a college. Her idea was to ultimately make her course fast and affordable to minimize the impact it had on her students. She instilled in us a family and student friendly mindset that lives on to this day.
Although Mrs. Minter has passed and the school is under new ownership our goal in continuing this program will always remain seeking the completion and realization of her dream. We continue to maintain that same atmosphere and love for our students all while attempting to slowly modernize our facilities and programs to aide both our past and future alumni. Ultimately we know, as with everything else in life, our success is directly tied to the success of our graduates. We take pride in you guys and are truly appreciative of the fact that our alumni will always be our greatest ambassadors and will continue to build the Emerald Nursing School name.
As always we are fully committed to providing El Paso and its surrounding areas with the opportunity to affordably gain entry into the lucrative and rewarding career field of nursing, thereby enriching the lives of many in our beloved community.
We also recognize and accept our responsibility to meet the special needs of people in this multicultural international society.
Our Mission
The mission of Emerald Nursing School is to provide students with a high quality education at a low cost that meets or exceeds the current employer standards and medical workforce needs of El Paso, Texas & its surrounding areas.
In doing so Emerald Nursing School works closely with the community to provide prospective and current students with a better understanding of what it really takes to better aide the community and ones self.
Emerald Nursing School understands that the need for medical professionals has never been greater and accepts the responsibility to provide our students with the best learning experience possible.
Our Family (Alumni)
Our students often find themselves making new friends and connections with people that they will know for many years to come. This is because we strive to maintain a strong family environment within our program. We do this primarily as we know that is truly what the nursing field needs. The bigger the heart the better the nurse. Kindness, a caring nature, selfless service and compassion are all musts in this field at all levels. These are traits that you can not always teach out-right and are often learned through exemplary leadership.
This is what our amazing instructors and staff do best. In acting through kindness and in always giving that which we wish to receive we strive to do our best in guiding our students. This leads to students returning constantly to us with a smile on their face and nothing but great memories.
Our Instructors
Possibly the greatest key to our continued success is being blessed with such amazing instructors. Not only do our instructors take their time when teaching the course materials, they also invest large amounts of their time in assisting both alumni and students with any questions that come up. We truly appreciate our highly dedicated and amazing instructors.
