Emerald Nursing School, LLC
Emerald Nursing School was founded by Ms. Nancy Minter in June of 1994 to provide nursing training to students in El Paso, Texas and surrounding areas.
The School was later incorporated under the new ownership of Emerald Nursing School, LLC.
The school is committed to providing the people of El Paso and its surrounding areas with the opportunity to obtain a nursing education, thereby enriching their lives and that of their community. It also recognizes and accepts its responsibility to meet the special needs of people in this multicultural international society.
Mission Statement
The mission of Emerald Nursing School is to provide the best possible educational standards to meet the medical workforce needs of El Paso, Texas, and the surrounding areas. By setting this as our prime goal, Emerald Nursing School works closely with the community to provide prospective and current students with a better understanding of what it really takes to help the community and oneself. Emerald Nursing School understands that the need for medical professions has never been greater and accepts the responsibility to provide our students with the best learning experience possible.

Emerald Nursing School is approved and regulated by the Texas Workforce Commission, Career Schools and Colleges, Austin, Texas.
The Nursing Assistant Program is approved and regulated by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Nurse Aide Training, Austin, Texas.

Humble Beginnings
Nancy Minter a young RN living in El Paso Texas had a dream to help build her community and provide training to people whom otherwise may not have had an option to gain such success. Her idea was to minimize the cost of training and make it fast and affordable to minimize the impact it had on those attending the program. She instilled in us a very family friendly mode of operation and a very student friendly environment. You can still see that to this day as students walk in the door with a smile on their face as if they were speaking to relatives at a re union. Our goal in continuing this program and facility is to see to the completion and realization of her dream. We continue to maintain that same atmosphere and love for our students all the while attempting to modernize our facilities and bring in some technology to aide in benefiting our students. We know as with everything else in life our success in directly tied to your success as our students. We take pride in you guys and thank you for being such great ambassadors to the Emerald Nursing School name.
Our Family
Our students often find themselves making new friends and connections with people that they will know for many years to come. This is because we strive to maintain a strong family environment within our program. We do this primarily as we know that is truly what the nursing field needs in the end. The bigger the heart the better the nurse. Kindness, caring and compassion are all musts in this field at all levels. This is something you can not out right teach and must lead via example. This is what our amazing instructors and staff do best. In acting through kindness and giving that which we wish to receive we guide our students in a positive direction. This leads to students returning constantly to us with a smile on their face and nothing but great memories.

One of the greatest pieces to our puzzle and reasons for our success is our absolutely amazing instructors. Not only do they take the time to teach our courses but they also invest their time with our students in ways we truly appreciate.
