Nursing Assistant Program (NA)
Thank you for your interest in our Nursing Assistant Program (NA)!
What is a Nursing Assistant?
Nursing Assistants are a very important asset to the nursing community. Nursing Assistants are responsible for providing a large amount of patient care, as well as, assisting them with daily activities as needed.
What would I do as a Nursing Assistant?
Nursing Assistants perform routine nursing procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, or a physician. These procedures include observation, reporting, and the environmental and physical management of patients and can find entry-level employment opportunities as a Nursing Assistant in hospitals, nursing homes, home health agencies or other skilled nursing facilities..
Why Nursing Assistant?
Nursing Assistants are highly employable and always sought after. Employment opportunities include Hospitals, Short Term Care Facilities, Long Term Care Facilities & Assisted Living Facilities to name a few.
Nursing Assistant’s also get a head start on climbing that career ladder to LVN or RN in a more comfortable and traditional fashion; as they not only get their CNA which is often a pre- requisite to both programs but they also get valuable floor experience in the nursing field prior to pursuing further education.
