Requirements

Programs have been developed to maximize student success by ensuring flexible schedules, affordable tuition, and by providing fast, effective, hands-on training.

General Admission Requirements

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum requirements:

  1. Must be at least 17 years of age at the time of registration (applicants under the age of 18 require written permission from a parent or legal guardian); and
  2. Must provide a valid Photo Identification (State or Government Issued); and
  3. Must provide a Social Security Card (US Social Security Administration); and
  4. Must provide either a High School Diploma, GED Certificate, or an Academic Transcript ensuring completion of at least the 8th Grade (Reading and Math proficiency).

Foreign education will be accepted provided a certified English translation of the original certificate/transcript/diploma is provided and indicates completion of secondary education. 

Program Specific Requirements – Nursing Assistant Program

In addition to the General Admission Requirements, applicants must satisfy the following program specific requirements for the Nursing Assistant Program:

  1. Must not be listed as unemployable on the Employee Misconduct Registry (EMR) and cannot have been convicted of a criminal offense as listed in the Texas Health and Safety Code 250.006; and
  2. Must present proof a recent (as needed) tuberculosis screening indicating a negative/no result finding.

Admissions materials submitted to the School must be original documents. An admissions application will be considered complete when all required materials have been received by the Admissions Office.
